Foundation activities

 

(in the event of school closure only)

 

 

·        Children to read one book a day, this will be their school book or one from home or the library.

 

 

·        Children to practise reading and writing phonic sounds from sound books on a daily basis.

 

 

·        Children to practise reading and writing tricky words from tricky word book on a daily basis.

 

 

·        Children to make a diary about each day that they are off school.  This can be done both with writing and with pictures, photographs of children’s activities.

 

 

·        Children to investigate an area in to look for mini beasts.  This can be in the garden or outside area or a garage.

 

 

·        Children to draw a picture of what they have enjoyed doing while they have been at home.

 

 

·        Children to recycle material and make a junk model from resources found around the home.
